October is here which means we have been in our new house for almost six months. Seems like one would have all the boxes unpacked at this point but nah… there are too many other fun things to do.

No fabric out this week.

My Guild held their annual fabric sale yesterday. I’m gifting a lot of what I bought to someone who reads the blog, so no pictures of that. I’m on the fence about much of the rest, which may end up donated back to the Guild for charity quilts. I know I’m keeping the 5 1/2 yards of muslin, both bleached and unbleached. My new dyes needed some fabric friends to play with.

I also picked up a ruler and some trims. The pattern came from the thrift.

No fabric out this week.

Yesterday my Guild had a huge fabric sale to raise money for charity activities. Way more fabric came home with me than planned.

The small pieces were accidents. The Guild didn’t have access to its normal meeting space, and the lighting in the building we used instead was poor. My sister requested fabrics for a specific project, and some of my choices didn’t go with the other fabrics. I kept those pieces. The purple was my only indulgence piece. Today's pics aren't my best work - I'll just start off with that disclaimer.  Earlier this week I was on a Zoom call and saw our rural mail lady try to turn around in the neighbor's driveway.  She got stuck.  Totally distracted from my call, I watched as she kept revving the engine in her little jeep and burning the rubber off her tires trying to get out.  My call ended and I threw on a coat and boots.  In an effort to get there quicker, I started out across the yard rather than using the driveway ...

We are having a Summer Sale!

Felicia’s World is celebrating two things right now:

1. My family and I have finally purchased our dream home! 2 weeks ago we hauled all of our stuff, it really made me rethink the sizes of my fabric and book collections, from the crappy rental with the bottle green carpet that we have called home for 6 years, into our gloriously generous and cozy new home on a treelined street in Gilbert.
